If you're playing an older machine - especially non-pinball, read any handwritten signs carefully before putting money in. There are rows and rows of pinball machines. All profits go to charities, primarily the Salvation Army (), which is why I didn't bother to ask for a refund when one of the machines swallowed our 75 cents.

I didn't find any like I remember from the 60s - 10 cents a game or 3 games for a quarter - but the money is going to a good cause. All the older machines are only a quarter per game.

I dragged my wife here on our last night in Vegas, my only real free time at the tail end of a conference. It isn't really museum-like, contrary to what their name is, as it is all very hands-on! We probably spend a 1/2 there, it was enjoyable while not a trip highlight. It is, however, a different change of pace. You'd need a vehicle to get there it isn't really within walking distance of any of the main tourist attractions. Even have a little popcorn machine if you are feeling the need for popcorn. There were some newer machines which we just passed over, concentrating on the ones earlier years. Everything, as far as I could tell, is play-able. Some games are well restored and have little signs with the year, but others don't (which is unfortunate). Compared to everything else in Vegas - this is very (very!) inexpensive entertainment! Each game was only a few quarters so your entertainment expense is very low. He did manage to find a few of the baseball (or something) games he remembers from when he was a kid, so he really enjoyed playing those games. Ease of location to kill time before a flight may mean I'll be back with $10 but if it survives more than a year or two I'll be shocked.I wouldn't have gone here if I wasn't with my husband, but I figured he'd get a kick out of it.

Nice idea, somewhat noble, but I can't imagine the cost in maintenance, operations, and location is going to keep the pinball hall of fame above water unless they jack up prices unrealistically or sell a warehouse full of t-shirts. Roughly about 20% of the machines in the facility are turned off "dark" or some sort of issue ranging from broken buttons to eating quarters this isn't exactly a five star setup. Another unsupervised child really put some hits & shoves into a Twillight pinball machine and got a light scolding from us.

Nor was it even networked properly to its twin. I was excited to see a Daytona USA 2 racing game but the way it's treated by kids who can hardly reach the peddles tell me this game won't last to see the end of the month. I suspect it's a reenactment of the golden age of arcades with parents dropping kids off with a handful of quarters like a Chuck-E-Cheese's while moving on to other adult activities. Midday on a Thursday the "museum" had many many kids running around and really abusing the machines. 3rd time I've visited the site off of Las Vegas Blvd and it was even more disappointing. While the new location had the best of intentions for the business and charity my belief is this relocation was a mistake. I really liked and preferred when the location was a few miles east on Tropicana. I've been visiting for years when vacationing in the LV area. If you like pinball, the diehard enthusiast, or just like classic games this a must stop.
